Firefox v1.5 Released

Yup, you heard it here first. They haven't officially announced it on their website yet, but you can get it here in your language of choice.

Update: Mozilla has officially announced its released.

Also: I've been informed that some Mac users browsing the getfirefox.com page (or the new www.mozilla.com page) are getting "garbled text". If this happens to you I suggest trying the original link I provided earlier (as long as Mozilla doesn't take it down).

Mozilla today released Thunderbird v1.0.5. Not sure what happened to v1.0.3 or v1.0.4, but I'm sure I just missed it along the way :).

Firefox - New v1.0.5 Released

Today Mozilla released the latest version of Firefox v1.0.5. In its release are several new security fixes and stability improvements.

I don't beleieve there are any new features added in v1.0.5, rather Mozilla is saving them for the next release of Firefox.

Firefox 1.03 Released

Firefox 1.0.3 was released. This release was to address some security issues that have come up recently. If you haven't already gotten it go to www.mozilla.org and download one in your language and OS type.

Portable Firefox

I don't know about you but since Firefox came out in beta I haven't been able to be without my preferential list of extensions and add-ons. Well, now you don't have to be. Introducing Portable Firefox.

Okay. That sounded like some cheesy salesman approach (sorry about that :)). This thing is pretty cool. So far I've only tried one or two of my extensions, but they seem to work fine.

Now you can put your own copy of Firefox on a USB key and run it from anywhere.

"It will also work from a CDRW drive (in packet mode), ZIP drives, external hard drives, some MP3 players, flash RAM cards and more"

Mozilla released a new version of Firefox 1.0.1. For the most part I am told it just has bug fixes to version 1.0.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0 Released Today

This morning I got up excited ready to download Mozilla's official release of Firefox 1.0. I quickly learned that was not to be the case. Mozilla.org was completely unuseable. You'd think it was Slashdotted. Oh wait, it was :).

In case you're like me and can't wait for Mozilla's website to come back up, here is a link to one of their FTP resources.

Enjoy :)
